You can take a ride in an old green Routemaster bus to and from Chesham’s More Than Gold on Saturday 28 July 2012 at Lowndes Park. It will be a classic Routemaster bus which is 50 years old this year. I bet you can take a few rides on the bus, even if you don’t go to the event (although I wouldn’t want to miss that either, see Live Music, Picnic, Party at Lowndes Park More Than Gold). Unfortunately the bus cannot go around Waterside because of bridge heights. The route goes via Hilltop, Pond Park and Chapmans Crescent and the town centre.
By and large the Routemaster will stop on request at existing bus stops. Where they don’t exist, they will choose some key points. The circular route and times for the free Courtesy Bus for Saturday 28 July (only).
