C&DCA Progress Report

Derek Goddard, Chairman of the Chesham & District Community Association (C&DCA) reports on the White Hill Centre. More services are on offer from the office. A new high quality photocopier has been installed and you can have colour photocopying at a reasonable cost. A large new container for used clothes has appeared in the car park. C&DCA is being paid an annual fee of £400 and a substantial proportion of the income from the sale of the clothes will go to the North London Hospice and to charities in Africa.

Derek said, ‘I am delighted to say that the Don Smith Memorial Fund has now exceeded its target of £5,000 and we shall soon complete the redecoration of the bar lounge, as soon as the new curtains are put up. A big thankyou to everyone who so generously contributed.’ The concert being arranged by two of Chesham’s male voice choirs is still to come is on Saturday 14 April 2012 at 7.30pm. Some tickets are still left so visit the office and buy yours at £10 each and enjoy an evening of song – a fitting finale to the fundraising. ‘Your support therefore will be most welcome,‘ Derek concluded.
