Citizens University for Practical Skills at Quarrendon

Have you ever thought I wish I could do that? Now you can, Aylesbury Vale District Council Adult Learning will teach you for free. Choose Do It Yourself (DIY – handyman skills), budgeting, Grow Your Own (gardening for vegetables). All courses are the perfect solution to save money around the house. Courses held on Mondays from 12.30 – 3.30pm include Monday 16 April 2012 – Household Emergencies/ DIY (Q1CN01ALM); Monday 23 April – Gardening on a budget (Q1GA02AAM; Monday 30 April – Healthy Eating (Q1FD03AAM) and on Monday 14 May – household budgeting Q1NM18AEM)

The Healthy Eating course covers the main food groups; food labels and what they mean; what is healthy food. What is a portion and Storing food – what you need to know. You can make a salad to take home with you
