The Don Smith memorial fund has exceeded the target and now stands at £5,250 with more still promised. It is testimonial to the esteem Don was held in and recognition of his contribution to the White Hill Centre, Chesham. The redecorating has been completed and the balance will go towards new curtains. Derek Goddard chairman of the Chesham and District Community Association (C&DCA) said, ‘The old ones were more than 30 years old and in tatters when we took them down.’
But do still book for the memorial concert Singing By Dozens of Voices for Don’s White Hill Fund on Saturday 14 April 2012 at 7.30pm at the White Hill Centre.
