2012 Diamond Jubilee & Other Anniversaries – Plan the Parties

Next year 2012 sees two big anniversaries – the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 100 year anniversary of Chesham’s outdoor swimming pool – Chesham Moor Gym and Swim. It gives us a chance for some big celebrations. The official Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend will be on Saturday 2 – Tuesday 5 June 2012. The 2012 late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday 4 June 2012 and an additional Jubilee bank holiday will be on Tuesday 5 June 2012. See plans for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

What do you think Chesham should do to celebrate? Town Councillor Alison Pirouet is organizing a meeting to discuss ideas on Monday 25 July 2011 at 7pm at the town hall. It is not a Public Open Meeting (because it has not been called by the Mayor), it is by invitation only. However if anyone or any group is planning an event, please contact the Town Clerk, Bill Richards as soon as possible, so he can liaise with Cllr Pirouet to issue an invitation.
