Enjoying A Horse Ride Raises Funds For Charity

Rotary Club of Chesham hosts the annual sponsored horse ride round the delightful countryside of Dundridge Manor, St Leonards on Saturday 4 September 2010. The six mile cross-country ride has been taking place for many years to raise money for the elimination of polio, as well as for other charities such as Heritage House. Some £60,000 has been raised by the riders over the years, to whom Rotary is grateful. There are about 30 jumps, all optional, and there is no road work. An overall prize is awarded to the rider raising the most money, and there are prizes for seniors and juniors with rosettes for the horses too. The Shop at Bellingdon End generously donates the prizes and there is a Bucks Examiner Cup, a Tim Matthews Memorial trophy and a Peter Knowles Brown Cup.

Do your bit for charity the easy way by having a fun ride. Book your place now by contacting Katharine Dallas on 01494 758207 or John Harding call 01494 863067.
