The Chiltern Hills Vintage Train Group meets every two months on a Wednesday evening at Chesham High School. Their next meeting is
Wednesday 21 January at 5pm. The group originated as an offshoot of the Hornby Railway Collectors Association and whilst most of the trains are Hornby, any other make of railway is also welcome. There are usually several "OO" layouts and two or more "O" gauge layouts. They cater for electric and clockwork, plus live steam. Two traders come along with a range of vintage O and OO trains, accessories and spares. John Dickins said, “
Light refreshments are on sale and we ask for a £2 contribution to cover our costs. We welcome anybody and their trains if they bring something to run, or if they just want to come and chat but we do emphasise that we are a Vintage Train Group and not a modern model railway club. However not everybody who comes is vintage.” Email John if necessary on
