Healthzone - don’t die waiting

A public meeting will be held on Wednesday 21 January at 7pm in Chesham Town Hall to find out what is going on regarding the Health Zone. To improve access to health facilities here, a modern purpose built health centre named Healthzone is planned. You may not have noticed any difference at the site in Berkhampstead Road, although at last there is some hoarding to secure it since the tenants moved out. Apparently work has been going on in the background and the sign says demolition in progress. The developers Brackley Investments Ltd, were working on the planning application for submission to Chiltern District Council before the end of 2008. They are required to apply for full planning permission which can take longer than they allowed in their original project plan. Final completion date is forecast for August 2010.
