Children's Centres fun and games

Danie Appleby, Family Support Worker for Chesham Children’s Centre would like to tell you of some of the sessions they are running. At Newtown on Mondays it is Kindergym 10 - 11.30am at the Scout Hut East Street suitable for 18 months+ on Monday 19 and 26 January and 2 and 9 February. On Tuesdays there are male lead groups especially for dads and male carers, fun activities and outings at Wallington House, Wallington Road (see their entry) on Tuesday 20 and 27 January and 3 February. Also on Tuesday you can go to messy playtime at Hivings Free Church, upper Belmont Road, Chesham from 10 - 11.30am on 20, 27 January and 3, 10 February. Wednesdays has Harpbeeps Music Group and it is essential to book so you can find out the venue, from 10 - 11.30am on 21, 28 January and 4, 11, 18 March. Thursdays from 2 - 2.45pm Mums of Steel is starting on 19, 26 March and 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 April and 7 May for which you must also book in advance. There are Stories and Rhymes from 1.30 - 2.30pm at Chesham Library, every Friday until 13 March.
At Waterside there is Stay and Play, Rollers and Crawlers for children who aren’t walking from 9am. There is a childminders’ group from 12.30 - 2.30pm on Monday 2 February and Monday 2 March. Messy Tales are on Tuesdays at 10.30 - 11.30am now until Tuesday 17 February and after that it will be Crafty Chefs on Tuesday 3 March – Tuesday 7 April. Dinky Dancers is 1.45 - 2.30pm until Tuesday 10 February and it costs £1 per family. You can get Breast Feeding Support from 1 - 3pm - call 01494 783991 for an appointment. Yummy mummies is from 10.30 – noon, a group for mums under 25 years old to have a chance to socialise, have a coffee and play. Bringing Books to life is a course for you and your child to enjoy together from Thursday 15 January - Thursday 12 February. Stay and play is for toddlers from 9am – noon and Dadtastic is on Saturday from 10.30 – noon, a fathers group Saturday 7 February, 7 March and Saturday 4 April.
