New films for the Film Society

The Chiltern Film Society begins its new season on Wednesday 10 September at 8pm at the Elgiva theatre. The first film will be The Singer with Gerard Depardieu as an aging crooner doing the rounds in Vichy - the centre of the French retirement homes. The Film Society was founded at the White Hill Centre in 1969 to provide a showcase for the best of world cinema. The season’s programme totals 15 international films. Copies of the programme and joining application form can be obtained from the Elgiva, the White Hill Centre and libraries or from Derek Goddard call 01494 785844 or by email derekwgoddard@talktalk.net. You do not have to be a member to attend but if you join up you save money.
