New football season kicks off

Chesham United is hoping to build on last season’s near miss with a determined push for promotion this time around. Having beaten Wycombe Wanderers 3-0 to lift the Berks & Bucks Cup in May they go into the new season with a stable squad and expectations are high. Pre-season results have included a 5-0 victory over Wycombe. Chesham United’s first home game of the new season is next Tuesday 19 August with a 7.45pm kick off at The Meadow against Arlesey Town, Bedfordshire SG15 6SN. The first Saturday home game will be against Woodford United on Saturday 23 August.
Once again this season under 18s who sign up for the junior section of the Supporters’ Trust at United will be provided with a free season ticket for league matches at The Meadow – application forms available from The Chess Suite or the club shop on matchdays.
