
The Autumn programme from Chesham WEA will be the
Story of China From Late 13th Century To Date which starts on
Tuesday 23 September from
10am – noon for £68 and runs for 10 weeks. The course will integrate study of the historical and cultural development of this fascinating country and its huge population. It will be at the White Hill Community Centre, White Hill, HP5 1AG.
You can go on Thursdays to Introduction to Geology – how rocks make landscapes and soils. Understanding rocks helps us appreciate the world around us. Look at the vast range of rocks and the minerals they are made from and use this knowledge to find out how they form our geological history over many millions of years. The course starts on Thursday 25 September and runs for six weeks from 10am – noon for £41.
Also there will be a day school on Saturday 4 October from 10am – noon for £20 entitled A Beginners Guide to the Stock Market. It is for people who wish to understand more about investing – how and where to access information, how to select an advisor or stockbroker and how to invest successfully using some simple strategies. All courses are held at The White Hill Centre.
