Uplifting service

The town service of lessons and carols held at St Mary’s before Christmas was packed and well supported by visiting dignitaries and town councillors. As mayor I was able to choose the readers and aimed for people who give their time to our community and contribute to the wellbeing or development of our citizens. The music group conducted by Greg Mitchell, had been practising for ages and performed or led the congregation in a varied programme which sounded delightful. We loved the solo by opera singer Jo Bonner. My picture is of the lesson readers taken at the rehearsal beforehand - thankyou.
