Upwards

Great achievement – the White Hill centre has a new lift, fully operational. Congratulations to Derek Goddard and everyone who held lots of fund-raising events, instigated in a Gift Aid scheme and struggled with form-filling for grant applications. At a happy party, I was thrilled to declare the lift ‘open’ and snapped Cic Upcott, one of the original founders of the Chesham and District Community Association, testing it out with Barry Taylor in his wheelchair. As you can see there is plenty of room. The lift will not only benefit people who cannot manage the stairs but will also help those who must carry loads of equipment to their classes held upstairs at the centre.
